Thomas V. Fredian Memorial Scholarship

The Thomas V.  Fredian Memorial Scholarship was established in 1999 at The University of Southern Mississippi, Gulf Coast. The scholarship was developed by the Mississippi Beach Chapter of the Public Relations Association of Mississippi in memory of Lifetime Member, Tom Fredian. This $500 scholarship is awarded once each academic year in either the fall or spring semester to a qualified applicant selected by the Selection Committee.
:: Eligibility Criteria:
(1) Eligible majors: journalism, communications, public relations (students of any age or level will be considered)
(2) Applicants must have at least a 3.0 overall average on a 4.0 system.
(3) Applicants must be enrolled in 6 semester hours at The University of Southern Mississippi at the Gulf Coast campus and must have been enrolled for at least one previous semester.
(4) Applicants must be fully admitted to The University and to the major Department.
Leah Tolbert is the recipient of the 2004 Tom Fredian Memorial Scholarship.

News Release

Amy Pentimonti was the recipient of the 2003 Tom Fredian Memorial Scholarship.
Kim M. Campbell, APR, was the 2002 recipient of the Tom Fredian Memorial Scholarship.
Christopher Rolley was the 2001 recipient, and the first recipient, of the Tom Fredian Memorial Scholarship.
